Let's get started!
creating a uniform curve
Make sure that the number of spans matches the previous ones or set them to the number you desire most. A degree of 3 cubic will be handy later on for sliding the object along the curve.
setting up the pointOnCurveInfo node
I personally prefer using a null or a locator as the driven object and parent a joint or control underneath it. Simply to keep my options open for adding offset groups later on.
The "turn on percentage" attributes defines weather or not the parameter attribute is normalized or not. By default this is turned off. You want to enable the normalization (0 to 1 range) , since this is the value you are using to attach your object to the curve.
soo... how can I take this further?
You can connect the parameter attribute to a control in order to give the animator the ability to slide the object along the curve. Very simple, but very powerful!
